Hi,
I've uploaded a new version (0,58) into OrbitHangar.:) It can be downloaded by link - [ame="http://www.orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=3318"]Space-X launchers and Dragon v0,58[/ame]
New :
- new real sizes for all rockets
- Falcon-1 launcher
- cargo and manned variant of Dragon
- launch pad for Falcon-1 and Falcon-1E
- new parameters for all rockets ( and new payload masses )

Note that you have to install LC40 and 41 addon by Kev Shanow. You can find a link for it in this addon description at OrbitHangar.

Some screenshots:

1.Falcon-9 with manned Dragon launch from LC40
2.Falcon-9 with cargo Dragon launch from LC40
3.Dragon in orbit

It is not a completed addon. I'll update it from time to time.:)

I love the Space X Dragon addon, but I'm having a hard time getting the solar panels to deploy. What is the command for that?

Also, just a little question. The "trunk" part of the dragon spacecraft appears to be open at the back end. Is that how it's supposed to be?

Ummu would be cool on this addon too. I know that Dragon probably won't have the capability to support eva's, but just for ISS crew transfers.

Seeing that Space X has so many delays w/ the falcon 1, this might be the closest that we get to seeing the Falcon 9/Dragon spacecraft!

Sorry for slow response.I thought that this thread completely dissapeared in the forum, so I've seen it only today.
controls for service module (trunk) :
K - solar panel deployment
G - solar panel rotation
controls for capsule :
G - parachute deployment
Shift + Num1 - parachute collapsing
I forgot about it when I was writing a description for the addon at orbithangar.
Also, just a little question. The "trunk" part of the dragon spacecraft appears to be open at the back end. Is that how it's supposed to be?
Yes, because the trunk is a tube, required only for cargo and solar panel storage, and for connection between capsule and launcher.
Ummu may be added later, when I'll write a individual dll for this addon. There's too much lack of information about Dragon and F9 to write a complete addon now.

I might be able to help with the dll I have the source code for some think with ummu it will just need editing to work as a space craft

Nice!
I have no idea how to work with any kind of add-on's, or I'd offer to help!

I figured out what my problem was. I was giving those commands to the capsule, not to the trunk. I switched to the trunk, gave the commands, and the arrays deployed.
Thanks!!! This is a pretty neat add-on. I look forward to further development.:speakcool:

I'm still having no luck with the arrays. They're just frozen in the trunk. Is there a step I'm missing?
May be you didn't divide trunk and capsule...When the rocket has reached an orbit you have to do few things in defined order :
( when you're trying to undock Dragon from launcher the trunk's solarpanel covers must be jettisoned (F) ) If the solarpanel covers is jettisoned, undock Dragon (J) from Falcon-9.Then you have to swith vessel to Dragon_m_main (you can do it by F3 menu) and press J again to undock trunk. Then swith vessel to trunk and press K.After that the solarpanel will deploy and you will be able to rotate them.:)
