Do the payloads exist, and are they deployible for install in the HST ? Are there astronauts ?

Great questions

Which payloads? The SCM is there. But do you meant the ones that would be in the ORUC? I can add attachment points for them

On Astronauts the answer can be. I made a shuttle the same except it has 4 eva guys that move like HSt guys. They are attached and you move the guy and attachment. So if you have the shuttle2016BEVA then you get eva guys

This raises a couple of questions.

So should the eva guys be with the sts125 module alone or just use the shuttle eva?

Now another issue. Right now the shuttle eva guys appear at the airloack. BUT in sts 125 the ODS is there so the main airlock is blocked. So I need to recode the eva shuttle to if ODS is present move to the airlock on the ODS. Not sure if eva was performed thru the top of the ODS?

I might make a simple one where the mFR,... is part of the mesh and not separate vessels.

Also on the camera labels. Shouldn't the RMS end view be labeled "WRIST"

Thanks. So now confused. Where are the docking fins on the ODS?

The ODS was left on the ground for STS-125, no need for it and it's additional mass for ascent. And what's left is the external airlock. The external airlock and ODS are separate elements.

Ok. Thanks. That makes sense. So I guess we need a ODS and External airlock mesh

So how often was leaving the ODS off and just an external airlock?

If just once then I maybe just will add that to the sts125 payload. But then that may affect eva,.....

The following flights flew only with the external airlock:
-STS-82 (Discovery, HST-SM2)

-STS-99 (Endeavour, Shuttle Radar Topography Mapping mission)

-STS-95 (Discovery, micro-gravity research mission)

-STS-125 (Atlantis, HST SM4)

As far as affecting EVA whether or not the ODS present, it shouldn't. EVA egress/ingress was always through the aft hatch on the airlock, never the top hatch.

Thanks. I will make a new mesh. I meant code wise for eva. JUst if external airlock is present then eva exit/entry point will be back further.

Don't forget the internal airlock missions.

Then there was the STS-92 mission with the covered external airlock and ODS.

What do you mean inner airlock missions?

So just to be clear the ODS is really the docking part on top of the external airlock.

So I will need a ODS mesh (Upper part) ODS in scn
EXTAIRLOCk lower part

So is there a site/table so I can update the scn with extairlock or ods,.......

I guess Shuttle Fleet just had the ODS with docking part

sts82. The area along the truss are open. On sts 125 they are not.

Thanks. Well that adds an issue.

My ext airlock is on the left sts95 right
O2Zg1xN.jpg

So the top. IS there a hatch there? Or a solid piece? I can't tell from the images

So there is a hatch. but since no eva. It will be a texture:
http://www.asi.org/eva-eq/images/airlock-ext-detail-iso.gif

So here is the issue. This is mainly for eva. So in the scn if you have the line ODS. Your eva guys would enter and exit at the external airlock not the airlock on the shuttle forward wall.

So if you don't have that ODS then the guy will exit/enter at the forward wall.
3cE0LXY.jpg

If you have ODS or EXTairlock the mesh will show. And depending on which mesh the airlock door will open close.

So with the eva shuttle you do get eva guys:

Maybe it is time to add also middeck to 2016shuttles? SSU has a nice middeck mesh, if permission will be given. I would prefer to begin EVA there...

Technically all EVAs began in the airlock, not the middeck. EVAs were clocked from switch over to internal EMU battery power to start of airlock repress. And currently we don't have any real interior for our external airlock and we don't even have a mesh for the internal airlock. Our middeck mesh is of the middeck once they moved the airlock out into the payload bay.

Yeah, I also began to think this way... it would be not EVA but IVA :)
In my multistage\shuttle version I have, say 2-4 EVA\EMU's attached there all the time (detaching and floating out for EVA).

Well. So can we use the middeck mesh? My eva version has the vea guy created outside of the airlock door. But I suppose it could be created in the airlock.

My Big fear is clipping from the view of the EVA.

Having the EVA guy exit the Airlock hatch, doesn't make much sense since he doesn't bend and just goes through the wall anyway. JMO

With the ISS AtoZ, you can just about simulate any ISS Assembly mission.

I have the Covered External airlock that STS-92 used if you need it.

Yes goes thru the wall

But it depends on which eva guy
default and normal graphics
The default shuttle guy or the eva version

eva version and d3d9
q4IML6L.jpg

uses your eva bendable guy.

Just noticed any issue with the K band antenna. Look at the bottom you see a part is missing.

So on the default version you get the eva guy in a MMU. But one the eva one you get the bendable guy. using attachments to move.

Not sure if/how you could detach and mount the PFR,.... and reattach and move around?

Sure sent me the sts 92 airlock

I guess the interior hatch needs to be done. I just use the same texture. On mine it is just a plain white tube on the inside

I went as far as to make "cyberfaces" for EVA, because texture contains a face. Looks not so bad... D. Griggs, J. van Hoften, etc. all are surprisingly easily recognizable...
