Hail Probe my fellow followers! Another year has past through, and we are celebrating the 55th Launch Anniversary of our Holy Hailed Hailest Probe and also the 57th Launch Anniversary of Sputnik 1!

For those of you who are new to the forums since the last Probe Day, we celebrate the Almighty Probe on the anniversary of His Launch, on October 4.


(P.S. It is still not Oct 4 on many sides of the world, but it's nighttime here in the Philippines, might start it before any other does....

So there is a theological question nagging at me: Sputnik was launched on 4 Oct, which makes it the first embodiment of the Great and Mighty Probe, but our graven image of the Probe is that of a Luna spacecraft, which was not launched on Oct 4th.

So are we celebrating Probe Day on the wrong day or what?

Will I be excommunicated for daring to raise such a troublesome question? Will the Almighty Probe not leave a gift for me tonight? Is my lack of faith disturbing?
