That's why we need multi-sources for commercial crew. No Congress downselect.

Its too early to say what gone wrong, but did something gone wrong a bit around Max-Q? I seen the rocket exhausts comes around the first stage what maybe can lead to a structure weak spot because the heat, what can lead after a short time to the structure fails what cause of course an explosion.

Wait a second...so IDA-1 has just landed somewhere in the Atlantic as well, huh? Do they have a third version of it on standby? This isn't just a supply issue for the station crew but also a station structure issue, they've just lost a needed component for manned commercial crew docking.

Also, Falcon 9 blowing up will be "nice" for commercial crew as well. Washington might change funding there significantly...

Looked like it started venting something from the 2º stage and then it broke apart. The 1º stage held together for sometime after the "venting". Maybe related to the 2º stage engine chilldown (or what ever they do)?

It is bad for ISS as they lost a major hardware item, IDA-1. IDA-1 was a major hardware for the Commercial Crew Program as it would give Crew-Dragon and CST-100 somewhere to dock.

No. The FTS was activated a destroyed the entire stack.

Explosion looks to originate well ahead of the first stage. Though the first stage could still be the culprit (e.g. steering the rocket at a bad angle to the wind).
