I started and ran downloadorbitersim.com and downloadorbiter.com from the beginning, just for the record
nothing I've done for Orbiter has ever generated a penny for me directly or indirectly, I've heard a number of times elsewhere that I made mad money with these sites but my bus pass and I keep wondering when the check arrives
I lost the other domains during a bad financial fiasco when a large customer bailed on me and I was unable to afford the update of the domains at the time they were to be renewed. Embarrasing but hey, I'm trying to start a business so that means staying broke for a few years.
None the less, if anyone talks about 'the money that download guy made' please correct the story. I'm just another broke soul that loves Orbiter
As for the downloads - I am gradually rebuilding the entire archive and arrangement on the new website orbitersimulator.com and currently the base, textures and landsat files are there, torrents coming soon!

I was a bit over zealous in my post and I apologize for that. To be exact nobody ever spoke of making mad money, just that I never made money offering the downloads nor did I set out to. Sadly I have not done as well as I should have, however life smacks us that way sometimes. Working to rebuild it and make it better than ever before
