I have that. But it doesn't replace the sound (and feel) of "true" hardware.

I (and especially my neighbors) don't need the sound of the "true" hardware in my flat. :)

I use this: http://line6.com/legacy/vettaii
And I can assure you that there's nothing wrong with the feel. I also have a Marshall tube amp, but it doesn't get used much now.

Am I just weird or is anyone else thinking that pure milk tastes disgusting?
About two thirds of the people worldwide, actually.
It's a recently evolved feature of humans to be able to consume milk as adults.
Your body is supposed to stop producing the chemistry to break up lactose in the milk after about 3 years old (like all mammals), so the milk comes in and it comes out without contributing anything.

I also have a Marshall tube amp
Ah, Marshall tube amps... That will have to wait GetMoney v5.0, but I'll get one someday. Real purist hardware.

Seems the cats evolved pretty much the same way. Some are able to consume milk as adults, others just put their nose over it and step back as if they detected something bad.

That's something to consider. I need to install the GetMoney v2.0 OS (the current v1.4 is very buggy), which implies to run the infamous GetaStableJob v0.4, which had lots and lots of bugs in its French localization those last years, then the NewFlat v3.0 platform, and I'll be BuyRack v0.9 ready.

Well, I have now GetAStableJob 1.5 installed, which is pretty neat and has a good German localization, though it is said to work better on US hardware. And it has a good consumer version of "GetMoney v2.0" bundled. But then, I installed Girlfriend 1.0 again by accident as well and now I get resource conflicts with GetMoney. And I still need to find a way to install "AcademicTitle 2.0" on this setup, because the communication with my parent mainframes and my girlfriend host requires this plug-in. And don't get me started with child processes. My restrictive user policy is constantly contested.

Well, we can still become rock stars and have a simple life, can't we?

Not that expensive... GetMoney v2.0 is really enough, if you are lucky, you get even a stack into your hands with the GetMoney Free version.

Be careful. Those are troyans and will eat up to 90% of your CPU capacity. If you get one or more installed, I fear that your only resource is to add a lot of fans, because your CPU is going to overheat if you want to keep the same work capacity.

I know I know... they are pretty time and resource wasters and drain your capacity... but they improve the user interface and are sooo entertaining.

Actually, you code yourself a good part of their user interface, that's where the fun lies.

And you don't have to care about filling their hard drives, UnderpaidTeachers v4.5 and MassMedia v95.73 does it automatically.

After the birthday trip, I think my kid might have trouble with BoyfriendExpectations1.5, if a dude want's to try his own version of MightGetLucky(Beta) he's got his work cut out for him. My version of AwesomeDad(ClosedBeta-notforpublicrelease) has set her vision of what a guy is supposed to act like pretty high. The guys on campus (it would seem) have "issues"?

I hear AwesomeDad has a bit of a shotgun development style.

It's my favourite drink, actually. I drink about 5 liters a week...

Ah, Marshall tube amps...

Meh... I'll have an Engl any day, thank you. Had a Marshall super lead tripple, or what's it called again, once. Not quite my sound.

Wow. I tell a Jeff Foxworthy joke on here, and this is what I get.

I've said it before. I'll say it again: You guys are awesome. :)

My actual first place ever after living with my parents was an efficiency apartment (1 bedroom/living room/kitchen/communal area and two doors. One to the bathroom; the other to the hallway outside). It would take all of five seconds to walk from one end of the unit to the other.

Rock salt initially, with a follow up (if needed) with bird shot. Refer to the song "Wolverton Mountain"

:ninja:'d

Every appartment takes five seconds to walk from one end to the other.
Although sometimes you need a Deltaglider for that.

In my appartment, I could bike. But not very comfortably.:lol:

I wonder if those people who invented the Cyrillic letters have put some kind of humor in it - mis-matching letters that looks like other Roman letters, but is actually representing something entirely different?

You saw a P in Cyrillic - it actually means R
You saw a B in Cyrillic - it actually means V
You saw an H in Cyrillic - it actually means N (famously used in Agatha Christie's Murder on the Orient Express)
You saw an X in Cyrillic - it actually means K (or "hard C")
You saw a Y in Cyrillic - it actually means U (well at least this is closer....)

Intriguing :hmm:....

Kyrill and Mefodiy have took our language and forged an alphabet for it.
Unlike the latin alphabet's poor fit to english, ours still fit well.

Now, what person with acute imagination invented the chineese script...
