But if you put objects into a medium earth orbit with an energy beam going vertically away from Earth THEN I don't believe your story anymore.

I stoped believing at bow and arrows...

He didn't live in a highly technologised society, though...

Only his technology was not optimized for delivering commercial pornography, it does not mean that he did not have a lot of it.

Damn, I really wish I would have the time for a proper bow making workshop. My past attempts had been rather amusing. Building a good bow is really high technology.

There are possible arrowheads found in Africa which are about 64,000 years old. Now try building a bow with stone tools, no copper, no iron.

did something similar as kid, with flint. Tried making stoneage tools and fishing hooks with stone age tools... after a few days attempting the techniques shown in school, the results became pretty impressive already... but it had been hard work.

Excuse me, I forgot:
...strong enough to kill deer and wolves.

Didn't try that, but knifes capable of cutting through leather were achieved.

Let me make some arrowheads and a bow, and we can try on a hidden secret place... because such arrowheads of stone would be against German weapon laws.

I spent a few days learning how to make a [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/English_longbow"]Longbow[/ame] some years ago. It did not end well, if anyone has ever seen a 70-80lb longbow fail you will know what i mean (we where pulling splinters out of the [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Archery_butts"]butts[/ame] for hours). And making one with bronze tools would be possible but damm hard, using stone tools would be even harder but also possible.

I remember that game.

All I'm saying is that it is an extreme stretch to run around in an invisible nanosuit in a space age society and the most convienient weapon is a bow and arrow. 'cause that's what the original comment was about. At least I think Matt was talking about Crysis 3?

I think my KSP space agency is taking cues from early NASA. Launch upwards, explode, smash into the ground. Rinse, pay out retirement claims, repeat.

This was a solderless breadboard.

Guess what caused all the damage.

Did you get a good look at Arwen? The elves don't freaking need pornography:thumbup:

Or they have a different type of it... maybe they carved naughty things into trees and hugged them.

Wikipedia's a bit early on the April Fool's Day shenanigans. (for the Western Hemisphere, I guess)

edit: So is Google.
