IIRC, DaveS was in the works with making one I *think*, but not sure. It certainly would be nice to have one.

Note that you have several addons featuring the Orion (well, the "Constellation version") on Orbithangar.

There should actually be a few projects like that. Not sure about the DaveS one, lately I saw him work on the Space Shuttle midbody to fix some small details and add the interface for the interface for the Centaur upper stage.

Yes I am, but the problem is that the configuration is still changing, nothing has been set in stone yet and won't be for a while so my SLS project is on indefinite hiatus until the definite configuration has been announced.

To DaveS

For What Its Worth (FWIW) If you find you have the time, and feel like working on the SLS, just use what you have, Call it a DRM, or Beta, or whatever. Both versions the 70t and 130 ton, have multiple reference images all over the net for meshes, and the specs can be derivitive/extrapolated by using existing specs on existing rockets of simialar size and capacity. Speculation at this point is not a problem for most of us, we just want to fly it? After all it would be a new rocket, with a different payload capacity.

Were willing to wait for the final edition, and having a DRM add-on will make putting the final add-on together a few steps easier.

Just My Two Cents(JMTC)

Thanks in advance. Eagarly awaiting the SLS

Call it "SLS (October 2012 design)", or "SLS (March 2013 design)" etc... ;)

At this point there should not be radical redesigns, so making the mod evolve should not be too hard.

That was the idea, addons to investigate the possibilities of SLS-MPCV sisterma and change, in parallel with real progress.

DaveS, The thumbnail images above are just holders for me, no images.

Wikipedia expanded the SLS article with more sources and a very tentative launch schedule. The PPT from NASA is very informative, engine specs and the like, Fairing Diameters, evolution and block numbers assigned.

The thumbnails work now, thanks!

From public NASA sites? In that case, thanks but no thanks. They're seriously out of date and is lagging the real deal by 6-9 months if not more.

The first public appearance by the new TSMs on the ML was in the January edition of the monthly SLS Highlights. Internally they were decided on back in August of last year.

Yeah, that's going to be interesting. It looks like the Europeans are still going to use the AJ-10 derivative engine. Either that, or a VERY similar engine. I will let you know if the AJ-10 derivative is used: My dad is on the design team for the assembly process.

I thought they planned using the Aesthus engine of the Ariane 5 EPS, since it uses the same propellants as the ATV, while the US-build AJ-10-190 uses MMH (And the other engines of the AJ-10 family use Aerozine-50).

I really think to make this all you have to do is:Add SRBs to a saturn V first stage, add the LM adapter to the top place a small stage in it with the CEV on top of it.;)
