Hey,

Is there anyone out there whose made a manned Venus Fly-by mission for AMSO or NASSP they would be willing to share?

I know they are working on putting one in for the next version of NASSP, does anyone have a copy of that?

Also I've seen a YouTube video of this mission using AMSO and it was really cool...does anyone have a copy of that mission which they are willing to share?

Thanks,

Interesting becase it was a real plan , but it was cancelled

here more info

A venus flyby now is useless because automatic probes can do the same with less cost, but another interesting possibility is realise a flyby during a mars mission using a venus slingshot, but perhaps is beyond of the apolo hardware capabilities

Nassp 7 has that scenario but i dont think it works as V7 is still a beta

I have done once a flight configuration using the LM-CSM-SIVB (Be me who made that video :)), my results, but sacrificing more than 17 tons of CSM propellant in mid-course corrections.

On the other hand, not so bad that AMSO or NASSP have a section on canceled projects. It would be interesting to fly them.

Yes, some canceled Apollo proposals would be fun. There was also a proposed asteroid mission, and of course the lunar base.

I think that although the meshes from AMSO or NASSP could be used, the spacecraft would need to have specific configs for those missions. Also, some modeling is needed to have the "modified S-IVB with the Environmental Support Module" required, besides other minor changes (add antennas, for example).
Nevertheless, a nice but simple addon can be made using spacecraft.dll (for example) and existing meshes.
