that's what I fought you wanted to say. But shouldn't it be "this never gets old" then?

"this never ceases to get old" somehow sounds like "this is old, and it never stops being old"...

don't get me wrong, I don't want to argue your english, I'm just asking myself if I missinterpreted the word "to cease" all my live... I allways considered it meaning something like "to stop". e.g., something ceases to exist, meaning it is no more. Did I get that wrong all my live?

No, you are quite right. As usual, foreign learners of English often have a much better grasp of English word meanings than native English speakers, who are often quite sloppy with meanings. (I know what I'm talking about here, this is what I do for a living.) "It never ceases to get old" means that it is always becoming older. This is the opposite meaning to the one intended.

C'mon you young ones, get a grip! I don't mind that nun ov u no hau tu spel, but couldn't you think about what you're saying? Just a little? Even when questioned on it? Please?

Man! It seems like I have been screwing up a lot around here lately. I apologize for my incorrect use of the word "cease." The offending post has been edited. And, as a bonus, here is a YouTube video:

offensive is not the right word, confusing would describe it better. Apart from this...

that's what I fought you wanted to say.

oh yes, I fought indeed... however I wasn't doing much thinking, it seems...

it was a cool video, by the way.

IL-76 taking off.. be sure to listen to the commentary from the tower

Boy, if I had a nickel for every time I have wanted to do this.

Perhaps my easiest video ever. THis is Rolf from Ed, Edd, N' Eddy dancing to Caramelldansen for 1 1/2 minutes

This is a film I actually started about 6 months ago practicing for my Midnight Drift film. I still haven't been able to coordinate enough people to shoot Midnight Drift, so for now I hope you enjoy this very short drifting preview, 'Sunset Drift'.

Nice one from the Dutch insurance company Centraal Beheer / Achmea.
The formula for their commercials has been the same for years: a bizarre mishap, followed by the caption "just call us", or, in the Dutch version, "evern Apeldoorn bellen". (The town of Apeldoorn is where their corporate HQ is).

Enjoy!

Quite possibly one of the coolest Saturn videos on youtube: this guy did a masterful job of editing and putting a kickass soundtrack to some highspeed footage of Apollo 11 and normal speed Apollo 8 (the last part). Forget the space shuttle, Ares V, whatever. I want my Saturn V back. Just drink it in.

Willy 88 - That is one mean parasitic fungus. Gives me an idea for a horror/sci-fi movie a la Alien.
