Where to extract addons??

I have read through and searched the forums but i can't find an answer. Where do I extract the addon files? I downloaded them and i have winzip, but i only see a bunch of .dds and other file names. Oribter is installed in C:\Program Files\Orbiter. I tried extracting them to C:\Program Files\Orbiter but it did not show up in the addons menu.Is there a folder i should specifically extract it into?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

That would be the normal place to extract them to. What addon are you trying to install? What "addons menu" are you referring to?

specifically the airbus a380, but once i find out how to do it right, i have a bunch downloaded and ready to go. And my bad, its not the addon menu, its the module menu.

You should be OK just unzipping it into the Orbiter directory like you described. Just make sure you preserve the directory structure when you unzip it (most archiving utilities have that option, and it is the default option for the built in Windows archiver).

You would not expect to see anything extra in the Modules tab since new vessels do not appear there, just things like MFDs, autopilots, etc. You should see a new scenario in the Scenario tab, under "Airbus A380". Just run that scenario to use the new vessel.
