News Nasa finds missing moon landing tapes

I wonder, how many people have actually seen these transmissions in their full quality?
Mission control crew, and some scientists?

I don't think it is classified.
Correct. It never has been classified and I fail to see the reason to classify the video in the first place.

:withstupid: Sorry, couldn't resist!

But seriously, if aliens did show up it would have either been broadcast live to the world or bottled up in some archive somewhere to be broadcast sometime yesterday as a diversion but MJ went 6 feet under so they are waiting another few decades before playing it.

If there are aliens up there, they best take cover before LCROSS hits.

The pictures transmitted world wide was a TV-camera pointing at a monitor. The reason for this was that the original signal was in a different format(SlowScanTV). But where was this "conversion" made? I think it was done in Australia, but I'm not quite sure.
That would mean that (relatively) few people saw the pictures in the original quality.

It had been done in at least three places in the world. Most people saw the slow scan conversion from Australia, but I know that USSR and the Bochum observatory also did their own conversions of at least one Apollo mission.
