ZanTar-Cheetah Transportation Ltd.'s Daedalus B-52 Catamaran aerial launch platform.

Currently REQUIRES Vinka's Spacecraft3 and liber's Boeing X-37B addon   http://www.orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=5165

Require Sputnik's Velcro Rockets V1.11 http://www.orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=3388

Thanks for that 20 Litre.

I think it's official - I now need reading glasses while using my laptop.

It was also missing a mesh that liber's X-37B needs that's now corrected. The missing oxidizer tank is attached here for those of you who've already downloaded the beta. Change "oxidizerTnk.txt" to "oxidizerTnk.ini" and put into your Config\Spacecraft dir.

Minor updates put up last night.

Corrected ini's and added cfg to prevent CTD when jettisoning oxidizer tank and added both 2006 and 2010 KSC scenarios.

I've attached them here for those who've downloaded already.

In the works: alternative launch platforms and payloads and conversion of X-37B into manned micro-shuttle.

Beta V1.0 is now up.

Updates include major revisions and corrections to original configuration files.

Two aerial launch cargo rocket platforms - the Itkope class, used for bringing ZTC Ananke Tether-Sling components into LEO.

Two new 3rd stages for liber's X-37B (modified in preparation for the Icarus micro-shuttle).

Revised and expanded documentation.

Any suggestions and/or criticisms welcome.
 
V 1.5 uploaded today.

The latest delivers a much better launch attitude (30 - 40 deg. consistently) and the Daedalus aerodynamic model has been seriously revised.

If you're updating from a previous beta, you should overwrite everything.

Gear and rudder-elevator animation need to be fixed.
I'll check what need to be correct.

But nice texture...still Bill Gates need to pay for advertisement on Icarus. :)
 
Hi nOmad23, all of your scenarios work except on the Velcro rockets one.I keep getting a CTD everytime I run it.Heres the orbiter log,can you please help?BTW this is a great addon, are you going to improve this in the future?Thanks.

I'm scratching my head here. I've run this scenario several times now after seeing this post, and I can't get a CTD. My first thought is I forgot to include a mesh but have gone through the beta addon zip and the config. files and don't see the problem. I thought it might be the "obsolete API function" as I'm getting the same error in my .log file as well, but no CTD.

Would you replace the ztc-DaedalusV.ini with the one I've attached here? Change the ".txt" to ".ini". I've removed the SC3 lines that are causing the "obsolete API function" error message. Hopefully this is the cause of the problem, but I suspect it's the "Mesh file name not provided" is the real problem. I've never seen that error before....

Let me know if this fixes things, and in the meantime I'll try a few more things and see if I can't isolate the problem.

I keep thinking this error message is the key. Would you please check the .scn file entries regarding the Velcro Rockets as well as the payloads and make sure they're in the mesh folders?

I'd really like to say this one is "solved."

Thankfully, I found the Cayenne Rochambeau Airport add-on embedded on another one in the dansteph's site.
