HTTPS is still a thing, and anything worth listening to would have been listened to already, either by the owner of the internet cafe you use wifi in, or by the NSA.

This does, however, compromise internality of LANs - i.e. if you had a TV that connects over WiFi to a NAS with movies, then your neighbor can inject their own requests into the connection and look at your files on the NAS.

The exploit isn't also the easiest to implement and also pretty likely to be prevented in security patches, since it requires only little effort to implement a fix for it.
