Question What are you reading?

The seven book (to date) 'Samair in Argos' series by Michael Kocher. An enjoyable space opera 'self-published on Amazon'.
 
Currently, I am reading the Bible. My favourite books I've read where "Awaken The Giant Within" by Tony Robbins and "The War Of Art" by Steven Pressfield.

Oh my. That was my last post in this thread. Ulysses took me over a year to get through.

I'm reading The Left Hand of Darkness now.
 
"Ulysses" by James Joyce, a really impressive book and its style is unique in a way. If it happens that you have never read it I highly recommend to give the book a go ;)

Lord that one took me almost 8 months to get through. I admire anyone who can make through a realtime reading of it on "Bloomsday".
 
Nothing much. Just novels and stories from yearly magazines. I also read novels and stories of the renowned authors in India.
 
Going through Fleming’s Bond series. Gotten through “Casino Royale”, “Live and Let Die”, “Moonraker” so far and halfway through “Diamonds are Forever” right now.
 
I read Artemis by Andy Weir now... so far pretty good reading, does not dive too much into hard world-building, but keeps things technically plausible and within the bounds of real science.

Listening to the Animals : Becoming the SuperVet, by Noël Fitzpatrick (biography), in original english.

Interesting character, he really had a hard life as a farm boy from a poor family in the 70's Ireland, and checking all the steps one after another (high school where he was nearly bullied to death for being "a country guy", veterinary school, unversity paid by summer-working day & night in USA bars/hostels, to international lectures where he has to constantly fight his vivid fear of speaking in public) to become an animal orthopedy and endoskeleton transplants/prothesis specialist (actually he is famous because he combines both methods, the old "screw and plate" approach and the "regenerative cells" biotech implants). Definitively not someone with a lot of self-confidence, and he explains how he crafted by a lot of hard work on himself the minimal self-esteem he has today.

The book is intentionally written as a personal therapy and I'm sure it can help many people, especially in the way it describes the complexity of the father-son relationship in the context of conservative religious Ireland, where showing feelings in family simply wasn't the right attitude. From my experience it is quite a common thing all over the world actually.

A good Summer read.

I just finished "The Long Walk" by Stephen King a day ago. Such an underrated Stephen King book imo, loved every bit of it.

Got some new non-fiction book to read, the first glance is already nice, lots of often scaled drawings, design configurations followed by more design configurations.
