I would make another statistic for racing cars: Fuel used per horsepower and 100km.
My 9 year old car consumes 0.1 l/hp/100 km. A formula one racing car is estimated to consume around 75l/100km with 800 HP. (I use Formula one as example as it, other than the US racing circuits, uses normal petrol, not alcohol based fuels). That's 0.09375 l/hp/100km - more effective per power output as my car, especially since these racing cars are not driven for low fuel consumption and reduced maintenance like I do...
