The news just reached Germany, so maybe they could be a bit old already... just watch out everybody and stay safe.

Trigger was a magnitude 7.9 earthquake in just 10 km depth, under 5 km of ocean water.

The Indonesian warning center seems to be slashdotted, but the Indian warning center is still working:

Should the directivity map be correct and the earthquake did trigger a tsunami as warned, there should be only a short warning for Indonesia and a pretty huge wave.

Similar are the expectations by Australia:

The Tsunami warning was lifted now, as already observed on the MT diagram, it was only a horizontal slip, which was unlikely to cause a strong tsunami by itself.

But there are reports of some earthquake damage on islands near the region.
