--------------------------------------------------------------------
i will constantly keep uploading new missions when i have the time.
This list is subject to change.

If you want to fly any of these missions, PM me and i will Inform the Directors and assign a mission to you. You have to join the VOSSA if you want to fly any of these missions, Just PM me or EricEvan.

Most of the missions are dedicated to the Building of our Space Station Polaris.

This is just a mission list with the date, the specifics of each mission will be given later(I dont have much time).

While we have station building going on with long range, unmanned missions(such as Marco Polo and Chapman), These long range missions are broken up into 2 parts, Part 1 is the launch and Begin transfer, part 2 is the arrival and orbital insertion burn(and in some cases, deorbit to planet burn)

Marco Polo and Chapman probe are unmanned, scientific missions which do not deal with the station.(mission dates to be decided)
They can be found here(install addons given there).

Yes it is,

But there is still more to be done, i need all of the directors to download and install these, they are called space station building blocks and are our first step in creating the station.
http://www.orbithangar.com/search_quick.php?text=space+station+building+blocks
the top 3 on the list should be downloaded, the documentation, the main and the patch.

Some of the others, Station Building Blocks and Station Building Blocks 2, seem like they might be useful too.

Oh, ok.

Why not? I will unless others want to fly first!:)

Just an observation; Wouldn't this be more suited for being posted on your forums rather than here? It really only applies to those already in the VSA, so it seems to make more sense.

true, but everyone needs to see it, we are a small VSA right now, just a few people, we need more people to join, so right now im posting this here.
And also, EricEvan is renovating the site, he is changing it to a CMS.

It's so that people who are interested in flying missions, but are not part of our VSA (i.e. don't know about it yet) can see the schedule.

Wait, ky said he doesn't want to another mission anytime soon (well I'm assuming here as he said he didn't want to do the next mission).:)

It's already been suggested repeatedly VOSSA slows down and plans numerous things in advance before even scheduling a mission.
Now you have a mission in 10 days?

In less then a week you have three threads about the same VSA. One is filled with a mix of helpful suggestions and disagreements between various VOSSA directors (originally started as your main recruiting thread), one is for recruitment of the "general public" as explained by your director of manned space flight, and now there's this one.

You want more people to join?
Stop planning missions when your website isn't even finished and is being rebuilt.
It would be more helpful to your newer members to post the VOSSA mission schedule in the VOSSA forums. Everyone doesn't need to see this schedule because everyone in the Orbiter community is NOT a part of VOSSA.

We get that you want members, what new VSA wouldn't. But the way you're going about it is completely disorganized.
Maybe I should just stop giving suggestions because I feel like I'm kicking a dead horse.

I am fully aware of all that, Read the last line, the site is down, it wont be up till tomorrow. The same goes for our Forums, ill put this list up there once the forums are up again.
I have been working on this list for a while now, even before the earlier flight(which i had no part of even), I have been planning for a while now and have all the missions posted up here ready.
The only thing i cant control is the site(ericevan is the webmaster), so this is the only place i can post it, Im doing my best in the fields i CAN control.
And i am changing the Launch dates.

Seriously, I wish you guys the best of luck.
Creating something new is always fun and exciting (and bumpy as you now know).
I guess I'll just step back now and see how your VSA turns out.

wow, i actually forgot about it, i just gave a thanks and forgot:facepalm:
Still, i really have no part in that thread, please dont blame me for what other people create.
And yea, i would be stupid if i disagreed on the fact that we are posting unnessacary threads, im using this just to post the mission dates.

And I was getting frustrated that everyone in the VSA was just saying "Lets launch now" and that would create disorganization and arguments relating launches, so i gave a plan(the mission list), so atleast it would be less organized than the previous would-have-been outome.

Chapman Probe Part 1(uses an Atlas V, mission to mercury): May 26th 2011.

Going direct to Mercury requires a lot of delta-V. Do you have a mission plan for it because I'm interested in seeing how you are proposing on doing this one.

In what way are you talking, if its about time, ive split the mission into 2 parts, with a wide gap in between that can simulate the probe travelling.
Part 1 will involve a Launch and Begin transfer.
Part 2 will involve a burn to get into orbit of the planet(and in some missions, deorbit)
im still not sure weather we will use a Delta IV or an Atlas V,
Shouldnt an Atlas V(With Centaur staging) have enough Delta V to reach mercury?
