The legendary and so far immortal Su-22 (more specifically: Su-22M4 and Su-22UM3K) has been yesterday retired after over 40 years of its lengthy service, thus finishing the era of variable-sweep wing in the Polish Air Force. In their final, farewell flight the Su-22s were accompanied by the FA-50GF Block 10 Golden Eagle multirole fighters — their direct successors.

At one time there was an idea to convert them into carriers of light orbital rockets - in this new role they would be capable of launching a rocket with the payload capability of up to 50 kg to LEO.

Just caught this over at the sas1946 site, Mike describes it as a BPM (Brown Pants Moment), minor understatement!!!

Official? In what way?
The A-300 elephant walk happend at ETNW (Fliegerhorst Wunstorf) - when exactly, I can't remeber.

I would associate Carmina Burana more with the Deutsche Bahn...
"velut luna, statu variabiliiiiiiiiiis!!" 😂

Except that things never really change there.

Thus, I would rather pick Del Amitri - Nothing ever happens.
