Well, there are plenty of them (short runways, and tress of course) Just grass. The friction is an advantage for landing (it seems he did not brake at all) but can be a disadvantage for take off. That's why he pulled the yoke from the beginning of the take off roll (to raise the nose (gear) as early as possible).
