A Swiss Airbus pilot's hobby
I want to fly like that! Is there something wrong with me?

The official Bundeswehr video from this morning, that was already removed after a few hours for causing a big scandal in German politics.

It was too epic.

I like it!

What caused the scandal? The Deutschlandlied playing over scenes of soldiers drilling?

I can't really understand it as well, it sounds like people complain about a too positive presentation of the German army and "promoting violence".

Which is pretty funny since we are speaking about the German Army (legally permitted to be violent sometimes), and you see lots of firings of weapons, but no impacts (one explosion there is a disarmed IED in Afghanistan, the other a special effect pyrotechnic used for training).

Well, I can understand it, given what Germany has hanging over its head from the last war in which it was a principal combatant, but I don't agree with it.

WWII was 70 years ago, and the world has forgiven Germany.

Now Germany needs to forgive itself.

Approach to Lisbon airport, as seen by the pilot:

Made a little rough tribute to the shuttle if anyone's interested. It's rather rough but this is my first edited video. The Scenes are from STS-133.

It's like Apollo 4 all over again...

...extra points if you can identify the background music.

Any Back to the Future fans here? Well, I would be surprised if not :)

A few crazy German BTTF fans visited some filming locations last year. They made a very nice video of it. One with the German version movie sound in the background and one with the original version sound. And they were lucky to meet Claudia Wells (who played Jennifer Parker in part 1) in her shop in LA.

And I sadly missed the 25th anniversary of the best trilogy of all times last year. For those who missed it as well:
