Earthquake vs FAB Facility (Sony's Kumamoto Sensor Plant)

The first 8 minutes of Alexey Leonov's spacewalk, assembled from several sources. The video is at approximate real speed, cleaned, stabilized and has synchronized views from both TV (left) and film (right) cameras. The film camera was in color, but only some color sequences are available.

Yeah, that 919evo is crushing records left, right, and center... And they're not done yet. Scuttlebutt has it that they're going to try to post a sub-minute lap at Laguna Seca later this year...

I was interested to find the fastest lap of a full electric car at the Nürburgring and NIO EP9 was the one! You're right about that 919 hybrid, It is really fast!

Well... in terms of fully electric, this one is slightly more impressive... the car was literally "kitbashed" in 6 months from whatever electric and racing car parts the team could find in Volkswagen.

Sadly, still no full length video of the run. But it was a great fun watching it live in the Autostadt.

BTW: Also a lot of fun to watch are the cordless screwdriver races of the local universities and technical colleges:

Every year with different additional challenges to the basic rules: It has to be powered by a standard cordless screwdriver, the screwdriver has to be installed in 2 minutes before start, pushing the vehicle to overcome the initial resistance is allowed. It needs one male or female driver and it should not be a bicycle.

This years challenge required the teams to fit the whole vehicle into a box of 78x52x30cm and it has to be unboxed and assembled in less than 3 minutes. The record for the transformation was 18 seconds.

Is there something like that also in Iran?

Unfortunately not that I am aware of.

Different ideas & performances, very nice competition. But if I'm not mistaken, one of those vehicles was designed to not need to be reassembled and they just unfolded it! Unfair!? :)

I'd rate this as a creditable achievement.

Well, I though it was something common for universities in the world.

Unfolding was absolutely according to the rules as long as it fits into the box, since it was not really an advantage for the race.

3rd world space programme? - YouTube

I'd rate this as a creditable achievement.

Remarkable, fascinating technique and a parachute! Surprised how stable it was.

Better than we are doing...

Seems to have six rockets, but only 4 "igniters"? (blokes with poles).

Most Numberphile videos are fun to watch. I also like 3Blue1Brown, recently talked about vector operators, Divergence and Curl:
