SpaceX CEO Elon Musk recently has a new baby, whose name is "X Æ A-12" (pronounced eks-ash-ay-twelv), even though he is not legally named as such.

Apparently someone named their girl after a toy manufacturer, and their son after a terrible Eastern Bloc car.

Back in USSR it wasn't that uncommon to have weird names like Vilen (Vladimir ILich LENin), and similar pronounceable mixtures of abbreviated phrases.
But at least most of them sounded kind of like a foreign name or something, not like a random mix of sounds made by someone who smoked too much weed too late in his life.

Well, in Germany such a first name would be illegal, for violating "Standesamt" laws.

For example, it is not sure if the child is male or female. It is also not easily recognizable as first name.

Not sure how to translate "Standesamt" into English, there does not seem to be such a thing outside the German world.
