Universal Manipulator System

I am very much looking forward to the Vulkan project, I can think of a couple great uses for a heavylifter such as it. I don't suppose it will have a configurable autopilot, will it?

Hi. very nice stuff you are working on. Will the transporter have a specific DLL or is a spacecraft3 class? In case it's a DLL, will it use payload manager, so that you can attach the desired launcher?

It's a dll based vessel (as all my projects :) ). No, I have no plans about universal transporter :huh:

It will have a 3 modes - for Energia, for Vulkan and for Energia-2. You can set the rocket which should be on transporter via Scenario Editor. If it is not Energia, Vulkan or Energia-2... hmmm... it will be not compatible. At least visual model will not look good.

i didn't mean universal transporter, but usable for any of your own launchers (the same you did with delta tug). This means your answer is positive ;)

By the way i wanted to ask you if the vezuviy upper stage is the same as energia-M core, or is a completely different thing. Because i read in: http://www.k26.com/buran/Info/Hercules/vulkan.html that vulkan was used with energia-M core as upperstage.

Is there a way i can have a spacecraft 3 type ship grab the UMS arm base for the time being like its staionary then have the shuttle arm grab it and move it to where its going to be later.
 
I'm really looking forward to the Vulkan booster, as I was recently looking for a super-heavy launch vehicle like it.

I'd like to say that your Energia booster addon is genius!

Also, are the Solaris modules for the Mir-2 scheduled for release anytime soon? (I have been looking forward to those for a while)

There is just something I do not understand. How do I release a payload from the UMS?
 
I just find it hard to position the rail to go the way I want it to go. Could you program it to follow whatever direction it's facing?
 
I do just that. I click "purge" and the vessel turn green. But afterwards it is still attached to the URMS. If I move the URMS it move with it.
Hmmm... Can you give me more info? What is scenario?
 
I have found the solution for compatibility with vessels with shifting COG. The new release will be soon. (So you can use URMS with Atlantis for example).

Hmmm... Can you give me more info? What is scenario?

I use the scenario witch come with the addon. "URMS with another Mir-2 Station. In fact all the others do that except the "Mir-2 (pr.92) with URMS.
I did not downloaded all the files for that one.
If I click "purge" the object turns green as in the documentent, but it do not release the object. It is still attached to it. It show that it is some centimeters from the URMS, but it still move with it afterwards. It shows distance Leo-3,Mass 1800kg,and distance0.07 m. It also flash in green. Here is a quicksave of that scenario AFTER I choose "purge"
Maybe that wil help....
