I've done a reasonably accurate Tycho mesh, that I manage to export from blender to Orbiter, this time without any major problems

Still, it crashes Mesh Wizard, probably because it covers about by 120x120 km...
As it is it sits a little bit above ground, and textures have shadows, etc, etc.

Now is there any interest in this? I'll probably release it as developer resources, yet I could look into mesh land to make the terrain useful...

Heck yes there's interest! Fantastic work there! This will go nicely with AAPO. Do you plan on doing Marius Hills or Copernicus?

I like too !!

OK, I'll try to get the floor level to intersect with surface, at least in one place, so that you can land as usual.

And I'll add some normalmaps... because the textures I used have shadows so they look funny when the sun is on the "wrong" place.

Here it is:

It's rough (texture color doens't match 100% with the default surface, no normalmals, shadows on the texures) but usable

As indicated on the add-on description, if someone wants to use it for a complete add-on, adding mesh land support, etc, go ahead. I did try to get the normalmaps to work, but couldn't. There were some complicated interactions between the light effects created by the mesh geometry, the surface texture (that has too much shading) and the normalmaps....
Nevertheless I've included the normalmap (renamed) if someone has time to fix it.

Since I made this in Blender and the normalmap textures works well there, I'm happy. It was only a mesh export test that worked!
I have no plans to do any further work on it.
