Question TransX Base Orbit ++ Updates button?

Noob question incoming, but exactly what does the "Base Orbit ++ Updates" button do in TransX? I cant find anything about it in the documentation and my Google-fu seems to have failed me. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

IIRC this just updates the flight profile with the current orbital data (your orbit is not static and keeps changing, especially with realism, perturbations activated), so it's worth regularly updating.

Aah I guessed from the text that it related only to interception of land bases. Thanks for the explanation, I'll use it more often now...
