As I have come under scrutiny and criticism lately for my forum posts, I have decided to say "HI" here in meets and greets as I haven't done it before.
I am 58 years along in life, an honorably discharged veteran of the Viet Nam era, a member of the Green Party and a Neo-Pagan Quantum Fieldist.
I am active in the chess(1600 USCF rating) and blugrass music blugrass (banjoplayer, I host a jam once a month at my house) community, and politically active in the community at large. I am actively participating in an effort to get the public restrooms reopened in the local parks and recreation areas that were closed due to budget constraints.
I belong to HealthSport and weight train and run several times a week. I belong to the local co-operative grocery store and eat a primarily organic vegetarian diet. I don't drink alcohol or smoke anything.
My summer hobby is backpacking the wilderness areas of NorCal. My livelihood is caregiving and I currently have two clients, one is a 19 year old quadraplegic man with cerebral palsy, the other is a 60 year old paraplegic Viet Nam vet.
I am in the tenth year of a conscious and loving relationship with a most wonderful woman. If you think I'm caustic now, you should have known me before I met her.
This synopsis of my lifestyle is primarily to give forum members an idea of who they are talking to when answering my posts. It may temper their responses a bit as they will have some idea of who they are talking to and they may find it in their heart to be a bit more empathic.
My intent is to convey my hard earned wisdom and knowledge, although I do understand that some may not care to have it conveyed to them.
