Something like Audio Surf, off the track, and with flashy pretty fractals.
Goal: Get the highest score you can.
Gameplay: Fly around in 3D space (Star Wars physics), pick up power-ups, shoot the bad guys before they eat/shoot you, fly through allies and nebulae to repair or gain speed. Follow close to the attractor for even more speed. All while the pretty fractals move and flow with the music.
Polynomial doesn't seem to be very resource-intensive. Basically, just have a dual-core. My poor little laptop handles the game at 20-25FPS which is perfectly playable even with Pandora playing in IE in the background. (Polynomial lets you use your Stereo Mix or Microphone as the sound source if you want more than a simple playlist) I hooked up my laptop to my TV through HDMI and to my dorm sound system with a 3.5mm audio cable, and connected a USB XBOX 360 controller. (any gamepad/joystick will do if you don't like the keyboard controls) Overall, it's a pretty great experience, everything is tweakable, and it's well worth its $6.99 price. (cheaper than Audio Surf and much better-looking)
Additionally, you can find a donation-paid or demo version on the author's website: http://dmytry.com/games/ (Linux supported)
I highly recommend checking out his other works as well.
