T-0 Mission Start Engineering Log

All remaining activities leading up to the departure of SSTV-01 on mission #2 occurred when expected with no unplanned holds and we have now undocked from the Lunar Station. With no off-nominal activities occurring during our pre-launch preparations, the maturity of the processes and procedures at the Lunar Station for processing SSTV sized vessels is boding well for future SSTV activities. As a side note, SSTV-02 is nearly 80% complete as we depart for SSTV-01 mission #2.

The next 4 days will be very busy for the pilot and co-pilot as they plan and perform the TEI, shaping, and TJI burns. As in mission #1, all burns and real-time trajectory calculations will be performed on board SSTV-01 although the calculation of our departure date and initial mission milestones was performed by ground based calculations a few weeks ago.

Except for major milestone accomplishments, the Engineering Log will work on the principle of Negative Reporting.

All engineering boards are green at this time.

• T+1 Day Depart Lunar Orbit for a sling shot around Earth
• T+2 Days Series of shaping burns will be performed to fine tune the alignment for the TJI burn and to reduce the delta V requirement for the TJI burn
• T+3 Days TJI burn during sling shot around Earth

• T+15 Days MCC #2
• T+20 Days MCC #3
• T+24 Days JOI burn
• T+25 Days Arrival at Europa Station
• T+30 Days Depart Europa Station for a sling shot around Jupiter
• T+31 Days Trans Saturn Injection (TSI) burn during slingshot around Jupiter
• T+45 Days MCC #4
• T+75 Days MCC #5
• T+105 Days MCC #6
• T+130 Days Saturn Orbit Injection (SOI) burn
• T+145 Days Arrival at Titan and begin construction of Titan Station
