I just build a surface base at my hometown (Location = +8.7717 +52.0339) and now want to add surface tiles 60 Kilometers around it. Could anyone tell me how to make some? Or even make some for me?

Hi Astrosammy,
Try to use EasyTiler, this is an excellent application for this purpose (see the readme for how to use it).
At some point google rejects the manual download of images, but most of the time you can download everything you want. Otherwise you can try again the next day.
There are a few problems/bugs that prevent me from finishing some addons (using EasyTiler), however this is only if you have huge detail for large areas. In general, the utility works okay.

I'm planing to do the same thing. I've used the X-Plane to orbiter converter, made the .cfg into a base and added a lpad2a with the proper VOR. Now I'm looking for a source of public-domain satellite imagery for surface tiles. To find the location of the base, I used this site;

which led me to this one

which would give me the stuff I need, but i don't want to infringe on anyone's copyright.
I'm also looking for elevation data so I can make the local hills. Any help would be appreciated.
BTW, I've just uploaded my first very modest add-on to Orbit Hanger Mods. It's called KSC Trains. They haven't reviewed it yet, but I hope It will be up soon.
