Sun map

Because if you were close enough to the sun to make out any land marks you would proberly be burt to a crisp!

why isn't there a map of the sun?
that woukld help at interplanetary flights.

You have already heard that the sun is a white-hot ball of plasma that has no solid surface and no constant surface features?

"Chuck Norris made a map of the sun, but the map was so bright, only Chuck Norris could see it."

Anyway I fail to see how this helps your interplanetary flights. Unless you are trying to re-enact Sunshine.

Maybe they are looking for maps of other suns, and what they meant to say is interplanetary flight? Its the only thing I can think of...

Or a map of the solar system ? That's easy, press F9 and zoom out.

But on that kind of map my spaceship is invisble and I don't see the Orbits.

But the Orbiter-Navigator-Projct looks good for that.

open up the menu and click visual helpers under planetarium check vessels and that should make your vessel visible but if you zoom out to far it makes your vessel invisible again

that's what I mean, if I use for interplanetary-flights... (i knew the F9 function)

And the Orbits must be shown for those using.

I think the Navigator Project is perfect fo these [wait forr the ready Addon]

There's also a Map screen in IMFD, although it only works for the original solar system and produces a ctd with custom systems.
