Updates STS-134 Updates

Everything still remains on schedule for today's launch. George Diller is PAO :woohoo:!

Thank Probe it's not launching from here. Severe thuderstorm and, for the first time in some years, ... these little ice balls, what's the english word for it? That. Along with "some" rain.
Endeavour is in T-3h and holding.

You mean hail?

Yeah, that. It's impressive, I fully understand an ISS tour full of techical stuff... but don't know a simple thing like that . Thanks.

The astronauts are now boarding the Astrovan for the 20 minute ride to LC-39A.

Looks like there's a heater issue on APU 1. The engineering team is troubleshooting that now.

And the weather is currently no-go, though it's expected to go away with time.

What live feed are you guys using besides nasa tv? They're always slow by 10-20 seconds.

The Astrovan just made a U-turn.

APU heater caused today's scrub.

Hmm... the astrovan has stopped in front of the LCC. Chief Astronaut Peggy Whitson has dropped off the van and talked with somebody else, then the van turned back.
Scrub?:shifty:
EDIT: Confirmed scrub. Per NSF, for at least three days, maybe even more...

At least 48-hour turnaround at the time being.

Spectacular weather just crossed KSC!
Some photos here.

Even more spectacular:

upd: Any reason for the scrub provided yet?

Launch now scheduled for 2:59 p.m. EDT on Sunday (if this APU heater issue is resolved today).

And they scrub it just like that? They've got 2h and a half, for Probe's sake. Couldn't they wait, and then scrub it after that time if not resolved?

Safety first. It ain't no royal wedding, no reason to hurry.

Yeah, I know, and if something as simple as an o-ring made such damage some years ago,... . But maybe they could eventually solve it before during the remaining cowntdown time.

And they're starting to realise it's probably going to take more than 48h.
