I was working my AMSO Apollo 11 flight to the moon. I had gotten into a lunar orbit at an altitude of 65km, and saved the scenario there. I came back to it later, went into command module cockpit view, and then wanted to see what it looked like from the LEM so I switched ships... and my view was from within the mesh. I thought it might just be a bad load so I restarted Orbiter, went into the LEM, fired it up, was watching the command module drift away in cockpit view, then I wanted to switch to the command module for the view from there (essentially the opposite of what I had done the last time around). And got the same bug again - I was outside the mesh, only this time in the CSM. This time, I caught a screencap:

PS this doesn't always happen; but it did happen for me twice in a row. I haven't been able to establish a pattern yet.

Press F3, switch to the LEM. Press J to activate the LEM, then Ctrl-D to undock. Press F1 to go to internal and then F8 to switch to virtual cockpit. Then Press F3 and switch to the CSM. Bingo.

Hi JonnyBGoode,

I just used now your scenario with this exact sequence of commands, but, by me, it worked properly. The camera didn't got "lost behind". So... I don't know what can cause this on your system.

But anyway, I have just one advise to you. Please prefer the AMSO command "M" to switch from one vessel to the other one, instead of the system command with "F3". Normally, it shouldn't do a big difference. But, for sure, it is much more straight forward to hit "M", rather than to have to deal with the Orbiter vessel switching window.

If I tell you this, it is also that by using "M", you will be sure that AMSO code "will know" you moved to an other vessel. As I said alsready, normally it shouldn't do a difference, but AMSO code is complex and it is probably more safe to use "M".
