Thank you for that information!

Hmm, I don't think heads-up is any different from heads-down in terms of acceleration.

It is when pitching, but I wouldn't expect the pitch rate of an ascending rocket to be anywhere in the range where that matters. It's an issue for fighter jets flying dogfight maneuvers or for aerobatics.

It might still be slightly more comfortable even in this case, though. And there might be consideration of the *potential* forces in case of an abort, though I have no idea about what their vectors would be.

No. nothing. Just the screens.

I was amused by one thing though. They have a docking sim on the internet https://iss-sim.spacex.com/

If you're used to dock MFD it'll be easy. It also looks a hell of a lot like Axial MFD. https://www.orbithangar.com/showAddon.php?id=edc11104-5a54-44e8-b361-66fbbc71d6a1

If you've tried the SpaceX sim, it's pretty easy to dock with the ISS.

But were you able to dock with the Tesla??

It's an Easter egg. When sim first starts, yaw about 180 degrees from the ISS.

Now we know what happened to it .

This is a cool shot of the Falcons' 2nd stage exhaust, filmed from a camera installed in one of the fairings. There is also a video from the Starlink mission:

Coming down today!

Weird to land the capsule near Pensacola, the Gulf of Mexico has a lot of traffic.

The trunk has separated and the deorbit burn is underway.
Isn't this "limit your consumables by separating modules" before the deorbit a bad idea? (see Soyuz TM-5)

Anyone notice Elon is not wearing his mask ?

There are not many consumables inside the trunk though. But it is a commitment - The radiators are installed on the trunk, not sure how cooling the capsule will work for a longer period of time without it.

Is that Elon Musk, who is the only person in mission control violating mask discipline?

He's planning on taking the coronavirus to Mars.

That and electrical power.

There is a blonde in the back also not wearing hers.

Well, he is reading this thread

Looks like he is reading this thread.

He put it on for the photos.

Is the Crew Dragon ECLSS closed-loop or open-loop during reentry? "Flooding the capsule with Nitrox" and "topping it off" sounds like the latter.

I assume it's safer to lose the trunk before deorbit burn in case anything goes wrong with the separation. If there were too be any problems in the separation, I'd rather have the option to return to the ISS and not be committed to a deorbit

Not able to get back to ISS. A higher orbit maybe, from what I've heard.

Really warm outside the capsule now.

Until deorbit, they should be able to get back to the ISS. They just needed a few m/s for separation from the ISS, about the same amount of fuel should be needed for the way back.

Deorbiting the capsule unmanned afterwards might be harder...

Endeavour has left the blackout period
