Updates SpaceShipTwo to begin powered flights by end of year!

We’re hoping to break the sound barrier. That’s planned Monday. It will be a historic day. This is going to be Virgin Galactic’s year. We’ll break the sound barrier Monday and from there, we build up through the rest of the year, finally going into space near the end of the year.

Again, I don't want to cut the joy, but wasn't the sound barrier officially broken the 14 October 1947 by Chuck Yeager on the Bell X-1 ? :hmm:

And wasn't the FAI space limit (100 km) first reached by Joseph Walker on X-15 flight #90, the 19th of July 1963 ? :hmm:

Oh, yeah, those were not private attempts funded by another billionaire... Nevermind... But just be sure to remind the names of the true, original heroes... :hmm:
