The Tranzit Space Tug is very capable of docking things. In fact, it's main purpose is towing things around and docking them on stations.

However, it can't return cargo to Earth, which the Albatross has the potential to do.

Oh, right. I didn't think about the Tranzit. I thought you just meant Smerch and DM-2.

Regardless, a cargo variant of the Albatross would be cool.

The following scenario will cause Albatross to CTD within an hour.
I think the CTD actually happens at 15:32 UT or so.
IMFD and Thrust Control MFD are the only other addons enabled.

I'd also like to propose something else... maybe a cargo variant, like Shuttle/Buran style (but unmanned, of course). Rather than 25mT of fuel, it could carry 25mT of cargo (and return some, too). Just an idea.

The energia-2 looks pretty awesome. But still I think a cargo variant of the Albatros would be useful for a smaller option and/or an interim until you get Energia-2 done.

Yuri, one more thing. I got CTD happens every time I'm docking Tanker with docking ports of my spacestation build from SBB modiles. But I've managed to dock Albatros succesfully with this station's fuel tank modules and transferred fuel there some time ago. Can this CTD be caused by docking with modules which have no fuel capacity?
(I'll try to dock Tanker with station fuel tanks later to check this for sure.)

I got CTD happens every time I'm docking...

I need scenario at moment of 3-5 seconds before docking event and list of other vessels (and where I can download from). And try to make the situation more clean - disable all plugins if it is possible.

SSBB requires Spacecraft3, but modules used in this scenario works well without it, so I have not installed it. The only program module I've used is ScenEd.

You could try to dock Tanker with Node (CTD) and with Tank (normal docking).

WHen I started using this, it would dock to anything, but now all of a sudden if I try to dock with anything but the default Deltaglider, Orbiter crashes. It looks like I'm not the only one, either.

Megabump here, but I can't seem to find a thread suggesting this fix and this is the comment thread for this addon:

Problem of CTD when docking seems to occur only when docking to vessel with no fuel tank. Just go to the .cfg of the offending vessel and add "MaxFuel = 0" and that seems to fix it.

Love the look on Energia-2, the flip up nose cone and retracting upper chassis, and strapping the boosters directly to the body is an awesome concept! Is there an addon for it already? Also, the tanker is very cool!
