I must say, it really looks beautiful. Not sure if the interior will also look that clean during the first manned flight, I would expect way more velcro and padding everywhere. Is that on top of the panel an event timer? The display and the set of controls on it look like it.

Thanks. This is the talon body. Not sure on the event timer. I can make it. SO it shows event/MET.

Not sure what the switches would do. I guess event start stop and not sure about the round center if a dial/knob goes there.

But Is Orion going to have the white tiles or the black?

Working on the front docking part.

I think something is wrong with the mesh of the docking tunnel?


See the round outline of the hatch. On the interior from the images the hatch almost is the whole space. But if the hatch is the size of the outline then the interior of the docking tube is smaller.


The easy solution is just to make the hatch smaller on the interior.


Another question that maybe @DaveS can help with is the docking target. I guess it will have one. But I guess it would be offset due to the window? but what would the alignment be?

I think the outside will be covered with a silver coating. the current coating with the Orion looks pretty close. I like the black tiles for the LEO missions

I dont think this will have a docking target like that and i like the ideal of the window in the center hatch

I am trying to built it with the Orion SM. I need to add a HGA to to SM

not sure what they plan to use but they will have cameras on the ends of the solar panels, might be good to see that view

This was the Orion from Artemis 1 in October 2020. Looks like the black panels on the CM are covered in silver(?) insulation material while the SM remains white

this new Orion will need a switch to turn on the docking and strobe light. yes to the silver texture

I can add those lights. We got the strobe light already. So we need an eva and docking light. I suppose the eva light over the hatch aimed down? Where for the docking light?

On the body. I think I can make a texture of silver? with fine lines aka (panels)

I have the panels where they unfold from the body. I will make it where you can adjust the forward/back movement
