We are making the interior of the Moon BAse Alpha. We are having to make adjustments like the Main Mission which was above the surface,... I have a concern of overloading the computer with graphics.
So rather than every space filled maybe a representation of the crew quarters,...
Lunar foodbase at Eratosthenes that I never got around to finishing. Upscaled the Alphan biosphere-based design to 10000 people, occupies the entire crater.
I think that too much detail will only reduce frame-rates. I'd concentrate on interesting places and scenarios.
One cool thing would be to put keyboard shortcuts and small instructions on PC screens inside MBA and other places. A simple version of what's on the docs. This would make it more interesting.
For example, you land at the nuclear dispose area, and then go into the control room to check what to do, then return to the eagle and do it. I think this would make the experience more interesting!
I can help with the required textures ! I'm thinking about one of the Alpha computer test patterns with the appropriate font.
Thanks. I agree. I might adjust material setting. I think once this is good then the crew quarters, just a sample.
That might be neat. I think a vessel that does that. Not really sure how to do it though. At one time it was though about making the command center screen a MFD.
4thRock is correct .... you only really need one set of crew quarters located in the base to represent all of them. How's the BIG hangar coming along btw ?
On the drawing board. Couldn't get the attachments to work. So working on the Base and Tcars. We should have the cars running soon from the MainMission out to various building.
A simple attempt of copying the Eagle instructions from the dock to the VC screen textures. Perhaps a better placement would be on left side panel, but I don't dislike the overall effect of having then at center. It kind of justifies having those big monitors there.
This was what I meant by adding keyboard shortcut reminders inside structures. Makes going there interesting.
Hey ! Can we get a running list of the "Space 1999" stuff that are compattible with Orbiter 2010 that's been released ? I wouldn't mind re-creating some of the cool stuff from that show !
