I took the Soyuz CVEL and Soyuz TMA and modified them a lot.
In some cases I tickled the meshes to get the proper effect. I kept the textures from the original meshes.

Zardoz' Soyuz Pad was written for Spacecraft3. I converted it into C++ and rotated it so it stands on the correct axis for a C++ driven mesh. Again, the textures are kept original.

I added an escape sequence for the Soyuz/Soyuz TMA.

Please back up your orbiter directory because I have included Alain Hosking's Baikonur Cosmodrome Environment version 1.0.

Thanks to Star Voyager for pointing out some missing textures and meshes.

Special thanks to FrancisDrake for his suggestions.

Tested in both 060929 and 100830 versions

Excellent addon! Combines existing data of the launcher, the Soyuz TMA and a new dll in one package. Runs under the Orbiter beta 091124 as well. Your ticket to the ISS once the shuttles are grounded!

Just a few suggestions:
Add the ISS to the scenario (using a text editor and ISS data from some other scenario). This gives you a target to fly to.

DLL:
I would relocate the viewpoint out of the payload fairing (for example in +y direction), just to give a better view during ascent.

The Shift key should be intercepted, as shift commands shall be only be used for MFD purposes. Using shift-A to call up the Orbital Alignment MFD inadvertedly triggers a launch abort.

Orbiter crashed on touchdown. Maybe a mesh is missing, or something.

But asides from these minor issues an excellent addon, fun to fly!
_______
PS: A Sol.cfg is included in the package. Reason is not quite clear. Please delete Planet10=Pluto and Charon from the Sol.cfg, as Pluto is not part of the original Orbiter package. The missing Pluto.cfg makes Orbiter crash at startup.

If you are interested in the upgraded Soyuz launcher meshes, just say it...I made a newer version which is included in Velcro (with some bugs)

Excellent addon!
WoW...My thanks to a legend in orbiter.

It has been a while due to life that I haven't done anything in orbiter, but I will look at the issues you brought up and fix them.

Sure, I am interested. I hope this will include the .an8 files as well. I am always looking for new techniques.

With my skill level, any technique is new. I use AutoCAD to design my 3ds files. Looks nice on paper but the conversion to .an8 looses detail.

Thanks!

In reply to FrancisDrake: The camera position has been moved. ISS has been added. As to the CTD, I can't find that problem. I installed a new orbiter and then my download and ran it. All sequences went fine for both versions. If you can send me more details, maybe I can figure it out.
