Valentina Tereshkova bids her farewell
Among other guests who came to part with the Expedition 17 crew were the first world's spacewalker Alexey Leonov and the first women who went into space Valentina Tereshkova.
Yesterday the head of Roscosmos Anatoly Perminov introduced Yi Soyeon to Tereshkova. The two ladies had a pleasant and informal talk strolling along the Cosmonauts' alley. Valentina Vladimirovna couldn't hold tears while parting with Yi Soyeon when she left for the Cosmonaut pre-flight preparatory facility.

The young people of Korea and Russia who came to Baikonur to see the crew before they leave to orbit was excited to see the Cosmonauts. Many young people painted their faces in colours of Korea and Russia.
