News Snow on Mars?

H2O snow... or some other element/compound snow ?

I like the water slant in the report... maybe they should be more neutral about the chemical nature of the 'snow'

The article talks about H2O snow.

The models of the atmosphere of Mars released in this new study instead suggest that the snow forms intense and bitter storms.

I couldn't help but giggle - the atmosphere is not nearly dense enough for anything that would qualify as an 'intense storm'.

It's fundamentally a footnote for people who do weather modeling for Mars that, well, a part of the model has to be revised.

Given that there is interest in colonising the Red Planet, this new research is incredibly important to further our understanding of one of our closest planetary neighbors.

Riiight...

So maybe we call off the whole colonization thing, weather is too bad, all these intense storms - we have plenty of that at home already...

Maybe we should pack in some sleds...
