Shuttle TPS Tiles and Food Available from GSA

The U.S. GSA (General Services Administration) is giving away shuttle TPS tiles and food to educational institutions for cost of shipping.

If you are affiliated with a school (K-12, college or university) and have or know someone with purchasing authority, you can pick up some neat stuff.

I just purchased a tile for my heat transfer class next fall :thumbup:

My Engineering teacher has one, but I wonder who will get it since he died and we have a sub teaching .

You have to register to get a username and password. You need to register with contact information and an ID number of a college or school. I think it is only permitted for US institutions, but I didn't look hard.

I would be very surprised if they were to want the tiles going to non-US institutions. They'd prefer to give the limited supply to their own schools.
