I just want to thank you so much for tackling this whole project. The Space Shuttle is my all-time favorite spaceship, and this representation is looking great.

You can use the DX9 debugger to set the material on the doors to mirrored somewhat.

Thanks.
I have this for the radiator setting:
Code:
MATERIAL 2
REFLECT 0.254902 0.254902 0.254902
ROUGHNESS 0.85
got the radiators to animate

---------- Post added at 12:13 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:44 AM ----------

So on the radiators. I have been asked about how my bottom edge doesn't come all the way down to the lower edge of the door.

but it looks like there are at least 3 division in the radiator versus 2.

There's actually four per side, but the front two are the moveable ones.

You can see this is the 3 mfd version in the cockpit

So camera view are selected from the window. And controled from the window

So I guess spacelab will need to redone.

I think at least add hatches to the top of the airlocks. But it is possible to make it eva ready.

So each shuttle will have the ability to eva 4 guys

And aft CCTV set up as CameraMFD. I did find an issue with the Camera MFD in using 2 mfd it creates more views. I reported it to the author;

or use moveable payload cams:

Progress for this addon is looking excellent, if I may say so myself.

Thanks. So one thing that might need to be looked at is some of the payloads don't have the clamps mounted on them. So they just have the rods sticking out. In the real world that would be part of the shuttle and not the payload.

So redid the radiators:

This sts 51G. Notice the missing clamps holding the payloads down.

---------- Post added 02-09-20 at 07:20 AM ---------- Previous post was 02-08-20 at 09:13 AM ----------

So I finally got 2 DLLs working I think. They are using the same external meshes. Just different cockpits.

So Shuttle2016B is the 10 front and 2 CCTV version and Shuttle2016Bearly is the 3 mfd and 2 CCTV version.

So now the hard part. Going back to the scn to make the changes.

So it looks like sts 101 Atlantis was the first to have the "glass Cockpit". So for Atlantis any scenarios after STS101 (May 2000)should have the 10 mfd front, right.

Sts 6
So using the camera MFD you can see the IUS tilt:

and eva guy on the platform

It seems a bit high though?

---------- Post added 02-10-20 at 05:48 AM ---------- Previous post was 02-09-20 at 08:48 AM ----------

Sts30.
Starting to notice some issues.

notice how the clamps are at the end of the tube and would hit the structures. MAy need to move it back so not to hit the door hinge mechanism. Also ASE in the front needs moved

The payloads done for fleet were made for that payload bay. The SSU payload bay is a more accurate scale, so all the payloads need to be resized to fit.

Yes. So I am. But the thing I am trying to get to work is the ASE/IUS. I think the difference of the rotation points when tilting a difference.

good placement

Code:
PL1_OFS -0.0500 0.3300 -3.2500
  PL1_DIR 0.0000 0.4754 0.8798  //ius
  PL1_ROT 1.0000 0.0000 0.0000

  PL4_OFS -0.0500 0.2500 -4.0000//ase
  PL4_DIR 0.0000 0.4754 0.8798
  PL4_ROT 1.0000 0.0000 0.0000

Hi gattispilot,

you are doing a great job on resuscitating the Shuttle Fleet.

Where can it be downloaded?

So a couple of things.
So the new mfd for early. The later mfd have buttons along the bottom. These did not. So to use put the cursor over the label area.

and the only control by the MFD is brt.
So to turn them on/off

I tired to get the switch to move when you turn it of/off. But no luck. I can animate the switch but to tell it to move when the MFD is on/off is the issue.
So the CCTV's. They function like MFDs so you just select CAM and then it opens the camera MFD. BUT the payload camera locations and direction need to be loaded in the scn

Then the radiators.
This is what they are set at:
Code:
CONFIG_VERSION 2
; =============================================
MESH 2016SPACESHUTTLE\Columbia\ColumbiaORG2016H7
; ---------------------------------------------
MATERIAL 2
REFLECT 0.255000 0.255000 0.255000
ROUGHNESS 0.850000
; =============================================
MESH 2016SPACESHUTTLE\Columbia\Columbiamid2016g
; ---------------------------------------------
MATERIAL 2
REFLECT 0.255000 0.255000 0.255000
ROUGHNESS 0.850000
; =============================================
MESH 2016SPACESHUTTLE\Columbia\ColumbiaLATE2016h2
; ---------------------------------------------
MATERIAL 2
REFLECT 0.255000 0.255000 0.255000
ROUGHNESS 0.850000
; =============================================

and this:

SO on the aft of the early shuttle. What I did is made the aft mfd an ADI. It maybe is larger than real life. I couldn't find any good diagrams of it. Saw this though:

I guess for sts-6 for sure this rigid slide wire system.

so were the cameras gold foiled?

So like the 10 mfd version. From the left seat you control the left and center MFd:

and from the right seat you control the right and center

Cancelled 51e

and sts 41D

My.. God.

Not only you are resurrecting the shuttle fleet but you are enhancing it with the Magellan, and other spacecraft, adding better GUI control for user friendliness and interior enhancement as well. Fantastic job.
