Hi.

I recently installed Shuttle Fleet 4.2, Shuttle Expansion pack 4.2 + the update and ISS Fleet 2.1.0 .

This added scenarios for some real life STS missions, and also added missions in the Shuttle Fleet/Discovery/Atlantis.....-scenarios folders.

The missions in the Orbiters-scenarios folders work fine. But the real life STS missions just makes Orbiter ctd, with the message: "Terminating after critical error. See Orbiter log for details."

The log saying: >>> ERROR: Could not load vessel module:
>>> [C:\Source\Orbiter\Vessel.cpp / 4982]
>>> ERROR: Colombus
>>> [C:\Source\Orbiter\Vessel.cpp / 4983]
>>> ERROR: No vessel class configuration file found for:
>>> ERROR: spacecraft\spacecraft3
>>> [C:\Source\Orbiter\Vessel.cpp / 248]
>>> TERMINATING <<<

Any ideas on this?

You are missing an addon called "Colombus" (Never heard of it)

>>> [C:\Source\Orbiter\Vessel.cpp / 4983]

>>> ERROR: spacecraft\spacecraft3
>>> [C:\Source\Orbiter\Vessel.cpp / 248]

Download Spacecraft3 from vinkas site. It's available via the quick links menu option.

I don't think either error relate to the installs, sounds like you edit items into an existing scenario?

Hmmm.. well, I´ve installed them all in sequence, so I don´t get it..

Garyw, the spacecraft3 did certainly improve things.

I could for example now start the STS-128 mission that I also added, separately.

But still, some STS-missions does not work.

This time I got this error log:

>>> ERROR: No vessel class configuration file found for:
>>> ERROR: Well-Artemis
>>> [C:\Source\Orbiter\Vessel.cpp / 248]
>>> TERMINATING <<<

You are missing well-artemis.

Just making sure, but you should have a folder called Setup Docs in the expansion pack zip file that contains a pdf document detailing what addons are needed and in what order. Assuming that's what you were referencing when you said you installed them all in order, but just in case, make sure you follow that document thoroughly.

Also, to explain the OMS-1 burn after tank sep, check out ar81's [ame="http://www.orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=3988"]Space shuttle from KSC to ISS and back[/ame] tutorial. It contains some good illustrations of the different shuttle launch profiles.

Because that's what the real ones do for added thrust.

I was not refereing to the OMS-1/2 burns.

I was wondering why the OMS-engines fire up about 10 secs after Booster Sep.

Sorry, my mistake. This is the OMS assist that can be used during Direct Insertion launches. Controlled by the ASSIST parameter in the scenario file.

From the Shuttle Fleet 4.2 Manual (p11):
ASSIST <xxx> <yyy> During Direct Insertion launches; will cause an OMS assist.
<xxx> is the OMS assist start time in seconds MET.
It only works for times from 130 to 200, anything else will
default it to 135 seconds.
<yyy> is the OMS assist burn length in seconds.
It only works for durations from 0 to 135, anything else will
default it to 77 seconds.
If <xxx> and <yyy> are omitted the autopilot defaults to

135 seconds for start and 77 seconds duration.

Capt., surely you know enough to follow checklists (as I pilot, I know you do!)

The setup.doc that came with the Expansion pack very clearly details the additional add-ons that need to be installed with the expansion pack. Every fix posted here is telling you which add-ons you missed installing. Please ensure you go back, read the document, and install the add-ons in the order suggested. Should solve all of your difficulties.

Best wishes,
Dave

Hi Dave.

I admit that I missed the .pdf while first installing. I only read (skimmed) through the readme attached..

Been away a while from Orbiter..

Well. Lesson learned, and I thank you for your support.

And thank you for your superior Space Shuttle addons. Truly great.
