Robin Williams died today at age 63..........suspected suicide.
RIP to a great comedian.

Not sure what to make of this:

News of actor Robin Williams’s death spread quickly earlier this week causing concern among fans across the world. However the August 2014 report has now been confirmed as a complete hoax and just the latest in a string of fake celebrity death reports. Thankfully, the actor best known for his roles in Mrs. Doubtfire, Dead Poets Society or Good Morning, Vietnam is alive and well.

Edit:
Lots of media covering his death. I wish he weren't; lots of comedy left in this man.

Your source now confirms the death.

Such irony for a comedian known for his quirky cheerful style to have such a dark side.

:(

Your link is now confirming his death. Not sure what to make of it.

Edit: Yes, it appears he has actually died. I feel like a little of my childhood has gone with him.

I wish it wasn't true... but it seems like it.
He did had a fight with various addictions for many years.

Thank you Robin for all the memorable scenes and quotes.
"Good Morning... →insert your hell-hole of a place on the globe here←" to you too.

The reported nature of his parting, if it is true, does not surprise me, somehow. The most outwardly comical of us are often those who harbor the darkest, most afflicted souls.

All the way back to Mork and Mindy, I can remember being entertained by this man. It is sad. Rest in Peace.

Not much I can say other than Rest in Peace.

"Tagesschau" is reporting it, so it must be true...

RIP Robin Williams.

I was so sad upon hearing this bad news,he really was the Einstein of comedy.RIP Robin you will surely be missed.:(

I quite agree. I remember his character from Happy Days. I never could master the art of sitting on a sofa upside down for so long (made me kinda sick at my stomach).

When he was on air with Johnathan Winters is one of my all time favorite TV moments, I wonder how ridiculous and funny those two were when the cameras weren't rolling.

The entertainment world has suffered a great loss; such a fine comedian and actor that displayed such a wide talent across genres. He might always be remembered for his comedies, but when he did serious roles, he did them with marvelous talent as well (Good Will Hunting, Dead Poets Society, One Hour Photo, What Dreams May Come, etc).

I hope that his passing may help erase some of the stigma regarding depression. The difference between depression and just a bought of sadness if immense. Depression if like walking through a dense forest in total darkness. If someone who made so many people smile and laugh can be a victim, then maybe some will finally see that it's (depression) a big deal, that there's more to treatment than just medication.
