OHM Relativistic Warp MFD 1.5

The FOV should not change on key S regardless, it's not a control for FOV in either the stable or the beta versions.
Ah, !S! is a button on the MFD for an emergency stop. It doesn't correspond to the S key. :tiphat:

Absolutely love this MFD, I had a play with some of the sounds and got it sounding pretty cool,

Here is a sample of how it could sound, unfortunately the current version cuts off wav files before they're finished, this is a mockup.

i dont get how the fuel part works AT ALL, where do you get it, how you load it, it doesn't explane that very much

EDIT: never mind i figured it out

Hello.
I have a little prob with this tool.I use it with orbiter 2010.
Its realy a great MFD. But when i approach the earth my FPS go down below 5.
After reach the stabil orbit and the field is cuttoff automaticlly by MFD my Fps go up 300 again.
This is only by approach the earth and infrequent when i approach the moon, no Problems with the other planets.
have anybody an idea?

best rgards Tim.

ps. I hope my english is not to horrrible

How do you load the Rwarp fuel into the DGIV or the XR1? I would like to use those crafts without making my fuel unlimited.

Is there anyway to add the fuel to the DGIV or the XR1 in the CFG of the craft?

Ah yes, I tried that on the DGIV but it says it doesn't recognize the cargo module, perhaps I put the line in the wrong spot?

stutters a bit then goes black

Hi I really really like this addon you've created :)

I'm using Orbiter2010 and I am having some screen pauses where my screen goes black for a few seconds stutters a bit then goes black, this happens a few times before finally i can exit and restart Orbiter and then it's ok until i warp to another planet!

I've search forums and found that this version even your v1.1http://www.orbiter-forum.com/showthread.php?t=14838 was compiled under Orbiter2006P1 beta!

If this is so please can you recompile for the final release Orbiter2010 :)

Thanks again for this awsome release :))

Using R-Warp with strong gravitational fields

One issue I had with the Relativistic add-on was that I ended up using way too much fuel to circularize the orbit. Some of us have suggested to add a feature which would place the spaceship in a circular orbit at the specified altitude from the object, but before such a feature is implemented, if ever, here's another way to cut dramatically on your fuel usage.

Set your target altitude to a huge value such that you are barely within the sphere of influence of the planet or moon. That way, you can do a very short burst with the main engines using IMFD or your favorite tool to target a landing or orbital insertion in any plane over any target. It's a little less cool than dropping out of luminal travel right above the base, but it gives the opportunity to deploy probes :probe: and other ships from the Arrow which arrive at the destination with a small lead time, and using an absolute minimum of fuel.

I've linked the sphere of influence radii in this post.

I'm also using WarpMFD 1.5 with orbiter 2010 and expirence the same problem, as already mentioned by other users: The module is activated in the Launch Pad, but it appears not in the MFD list.
Orbiter.log says the following:
Code:
Error loading module Modules\Plugin\RWarpMFD.dll (code 14001)

What does this mean? Or is it not even compatible with Orbiter 2010?

I also have this problem with 1.5 on 2010. However, 1.1 does seem to work for me; it's posted on Page 2 of this topic (post #27).

It seems to work perfectly for me, although it did once point at Mercury when I targeted Mars, and not long after hitting top speed the game crashed. But apart from that one incident, this addon is right up there with my favourites when I'm in a futuristic/sci-fi/mess around mood.

This issue is rearing its ugly head again. It must be some dependency somewhere, but I can't find it. I have the same problem on a new computer with a fresh install of Orbiter 2010, but it works great on my development computer with Orbiter 2010. I'll post a fix as soon as I figure it out.

Okay, I've made an install package for RWarp. It fixed the issue with Orbiter not loading the module on my test system (Win 7 64 bit). I hope it resolves the issue for everyone else. Attempts at different compile and link options, including static linking, failed. Please let me know if this works.

It still does not show up in the select menu. I also get an error saying that MSVCR90D.dll was not found. I'm switching back to 1.1 again.

I recommend downloading the entire VC++ runtime, the 90 in the filename corresponds to the 2008 sp1 version, that can be downloaded here, and here for people using 64 bit.

hope this helps.

--EDIT--

you NEED the 32 bit version, the 64 bit version doesn't work with orbiter, my bad.

--EDIT-2--

odd, the runtime dosn't have the file (or fails to index it), anyone else having the same problem?

--edit-3--

did you compile it in debug mode????? I'm getting a crudload of debug errors when I put the file into my orbiter folder.
