Re-entry tutorial

I think Dan recommends around 100-130k engaging the reentry autopilot. I will verify tonight when I get home (Dan's forums are blocked at my office by our filter. OF is not for some reason...)

I've never been able to land on a runway. I have tried taking off and then landing again in the standard DeltaGlider, but I could'nt seem to do it. Is there a autopilot MFD for that or do I have to do it manually?

Ta guys, because of this thread I gave the BaseSync and Aerobrake MFDs another chance. After a couple of familiarisation runs I managed to nail KSC for the first time ever in a stock DG. Barely broke into a sweat at 2G max deceleration and no reentry flames. Dropped out directly overhead for a power off landing down the centreline of SLF 33. Wicked, I love this sim. :beach:

What happened to prevent you from landing?

HSI MFD would help.

In a conventional plane you need to be aligned with runway, about 4 km away from it to start the approach.
