Also you could argue that "Swiss German" as one common thing doesn't really exist since there's quite a difference within it.

You could argue? Anyone arguing the opposite is in a hopeless position...

Well, it cannot be a common thing because the experience changes continuosly. In order to understand it you must immerse yourself into the Schwytzerdütsch stream-of-consciousness, but this is usually perilous to non-natives because it requires a level of pre-science that is the domain of third-stage Guild navigators.

(sorry, no english subs... since the jokes are mostly about language, they wouldn't work anyways).

Is there a version anywhere with German subs (other than Youtube's server-generated captions)?

I'm afraid not... it would be a bit ironic too, since one of the jokes is "German language reminds me of a German film with German subtitles".

Interstellar is inspiring enough to make a signature graphic. This is just the start, adding the basic lighting and colors. The rest will take a few hours, but it may be a while before I get to it. If the people don't look too small when resized, I'll replace my current signature.

Good news from the USA...

The USA reduced their gas consumption for new cars from 11.7 Litres/100 km (20.1 MPG) to 9.3 Litres/100 km (25.3 MPG) over the past seven years. This means a total reduction of multiple billion litres gasoline every year.

Still for comparison: Current German statistic for new cars is 6.1 Litres/100 km for gasoline (38.6 MPG) and 5.4 Litres/100 km (43.6 MPG) for Diesel. But the gap is shrinking.

11 liters/100 km? Geez...And they need hybrids?
I read some time ago about a Honda motorbike that did 70km/liter. Might have been on this forum actually.

Never read that post if it was here, but sounds like the old Honda "Monkey". Always was an efficient little tiddler. :)

The ability to memorise a password is inversely proportional to the importance of the password. God dammit...
