newest realisation: It might be easy to make a child violent. To teach it to fight is another matter entirely...

That has to be the cheapest music video every made. It's made of 12 seconds of footage, looped over. No wonder people are saying that the music industry is cheating them out of their money.

Anyone else pick up Wasteland 2? So far it's been fantastic.

Children are violent. Or rather, they're violence-prone. They lack the inhibitions that come with maturity, the ability to more accurately measure the chances of success, the understanding of the consequences for their actions and how to balance risk avoidance against risk taking.

Seriously, kids are monsters and should be locked up. Maybe gather them on some deserted island where they will go all savage and worshipping a pig's head on a pole and stuff.

There's the Ghostrider we all know and love.

It might be possible we had a slight misunderstanding... :shifty:

First time using cruise control: WTF?
second time using it: How did I ever drive without it?

New car... and a A-10C worthy manual to consume. The touch screen of the infotainment system is also for configuring the driver assistance systems... which means dozens of options for everything.

Or maybe they should go to school.

Third time using it: Why the heck is there only one setting?

(Highway speed limit: 110km/s, town speed limit: 60km/s, lots of towns along the highways).

What phone exactly?
Sony Xperia Z2. Unfortunately bought with my telephony provider, who locked my bootloader, and Sony can't do anything about it, because "you didn't buy it directly from us", they say.
And I learned that Orange (so the provider I'm suscribed to) is the only one in France to lock it.

Welp, I'm going to wait and look at the XDA forums for someone to find a breach to force unlock it!

In my hometown we have a 1300 meter road, pretty much straight, with a 30 km/h limit. Driving it manually is just...horrible. With cruise control: Press a button, rest your feet, wait.

The one I know (VW Golf) is having the option of setting the speed you're currently driving, being pulled by it, disengaging it, driving manually at whatever speed you like and then press another button which tells it to revert to the first setting without even driving that fast. A bit spooky when the car actually becomes faster by itself...

Is more like an IAS hold autopilot here. Automatic throttle even when changing gears, velocity can be set to current or incremented/decremented by button... still need to learn from the manual how the many switches are operated best.

In my time we had a wall of buttons and no damn touchscreen...and we liked it!

But seriously, I'm no big fan of touchscreens proliferating on cars...some sort of tactile feedback is needed when driving and looking away from the road isn't the best option. Congrats on the new car, though!
