Prepare yourselves, fans.
After a decade, the Build Team, Tory, Grant, and Kari, are all leaving the show. Kari just this minute tweeted that the show is taking a new direction. Discovery has been making Mythbusters more 'commercial' you could say, and more about hype, and has also been a bit exploitative of its female star in my opinion - maybe that's it - I don't think we'll find out for sure what made all three leave though. If it was a dispute with the network, Discovery just lost priceless assets. Or it could be they just felt it was time to retire from the show. Whatever the situation, they have been an awesome cast for an awesome show and I hope they'll continue to be successful wherever they go.

Edit: Adam did however seem genuine at Comic-Con saying that the show would truly return to its roots as far as the focus of the show. Building, etc.

Speaking from the U.S., yeah, they skipped a few weeks, had a short season (though longer than 2013), and the season finale episodes are apparently old episodes that aired outside the U.S. years ago.
I think Discovery is going to kill Mythbusters so they have even more time for their reality BS and megalodons...

Well, because there is no reasonable addition to the eight. If Pluto didn't clear its orbit and is too small, so is Ceres.
Except maybe if you prefer the definition of a planet to be "rounded by gravity".

The main duo acts like it will return to being more like the first season. If so, I can enjoy one last season. (Realistically, I don't think it will make it much further than that)I'm going to miss the "old" Mythbusters...
Also, for anyone who doesn't know about Tested, look it up on YouTube. It's largely tech and 'making', and Adam and Jamie are both main affiliates.

Out of curiosity and cynicism, can anyone tell me of any good science shows still airing on U.S. television? History, Science, Discovery, Animal Planet, and Nat Geo have replaced almost everything with 'reality' shows and BS 'documentaries' appealing to the lowest common denominator (and probably the Military channel too judging by its rebranding). Is there anything left? Just PBS?
(At least Fox aired Cosmos!)
